Below are examples from our Food Calculator which provide general guidance on how much and what type of foods you should stockpile.
We believe that the examples shown below provide enough variety and options for store-bought basics to fulfill the backbone of your food preparations. Supplementing with other canned vegetables and fruits will add to the health of your family’s diet, and increase survivability and morale.
Pay attention to the Macro Nutrients section; a balanced ratio of Macros is essential for proper nutrition. We recommend as close to 35/45/20 (F/C/P) as possible. (Ideally, the recommended split would be 30/40/30, but that much protein is expensive to store.)
